Harrow School

576360No West London

Harrow School dates back to 1572 and boasts eight former prime ministers, most notably perhaps, Winston Churchill, numerous royals, Lord Byron and star of the screen, Benedict Cumberbatch, among its illustrious alumni. Elegant old world ‘graffiti’ from many ‘Old Harrovians’ can be found in the School’s quaint original classroom, the Fourth Form Room – a feature which brings the history of the school to life in a unique way.

With its array of stunning and historical spaces, Harrow School truly offers a magical oasis away from the bustle of central London, yet with a short journey time of 20 minutes to key stations such as Baker Street. Built in 1871, the School’s Speech Room is probably the most dramatic space for events and can be fitted with tiered staging for dinner events. It is suited ideally to performances, conferences or weddings (with its Civil Wedding License) and can accommodate over 500 seated. Other remarkable venues include the poignant Alex Fitch Room, the thought-provoking War Memorial Vestibule, the charismatic Old Harrovian Room and the versatile Shepherd Churchill Hall with its easy access to the School’s extensive lawn terrace and stunning views of London.
